We have enjoyed welcoming Key Stage 1 parents in for orienteering workshops this week. Thank you for all who attended these sessions, they were a lovely opportunity to experience our orienteering courses alongside your children.
Key Stage 2 parents, you’re up next. The workshops all begin at 9.15, but as with all our parent sessions, we will be serving teas and coffees in the hall from drop off should you wish to wait around having dropped your children.

We are currently playing our part in the Magnificat Marian Prayer Chain. Mary joined us from OLST today and will be travelling on to our friends at St Mary’s Southam this evening, accompanied by artwork created by Year Six. Every child in the school has contributed to our prayer chain, which will remain at St Augustine’s even after Mary leaves us. It serves as a reminder of the small but important part each of us plays in saying “yes” to God. We each make a contribution that forms part of His greater picture and plan

We received an exciting delivery today. Tomorrow, 18 new computers will be installed in school. These new additions will take our suite to 32 computers and enhance our Key Stage 2 library with a new bank of computers! This improvement is all possible thanks to our marvellous PTFA and the donations from YOU our community.

We have some very talented chefs in Year Five and here they are enjoying their work. Today, the children took a basic Spag Bol recipe and made it healthier by adding more vegetables. They even used an online converter to calculate the nutritional value content of the meal - I am sure you will all agree, they are stars!

Reception thought about the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven in their Class Celebration of the Word today. As their mission they each took home a bottle of bubbles. As they blew their bubbles, they watched them rise into the sky. This helped them to visualise Jesus going to be with His Father in heaven.

We have been overwhelmed by the number of families who kindly volunteered to care for our lovely Speedy over the half-term break.
With so many willing volunteers, we initially said we would draw names out of a hat. However, we then decided it would be best to let Speedy choose instead! Here is a live-action video of her selecting her holiday home.
We have contacted the lucky family directly. If you weren’t chosen this time, don’t worry — there are many more holidays ahead in Speedy’s life!
