Today we celebrate the Feast of St Joseph, our Reception class saint 🌟
St Joseph is a wonderful example of kindness, humility and quiet strength. As the loving guardian of Jesus and Mary, he showed great trust, courage and care in everything he did. He reminds us that even the smallest acts of love and service can make a big difference.
In our Reception class, we look to St Joseph as a role model. He was someone who helped others and always did what was right, even when it wasn’t easy.

As part of their History topic on WWII, Year 6 visited Coventry Cathedral to learn about the Coventry Blitz. It was incredibly moving to see footage and evidence of the bombing that destroyed the cathedral and two-thirds of the city. Year 4 are taking part in a Reading Challenge this week, celebrating their love of books! 📚
Today, they worked together to create a whole-class collection of book reviews and recommendations. The class really enjoyed sharing their thoughts, recommending favourite reads, and discussing the different genres they love most.

Year 3 is always a special year in any Catholic school, as children prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. With Reconcilation a matter of weeks away for our Year 3s, they enjoyed an opportunity to pause and reflect today. The whole class participated in a retreat day, which ended with a pilgrimage down to church and an opportunity to meet with parents and Father Ryan. 💫 💜

Year 6 participated in an interesting workshop about impulsive behaviour and how this can impact their road safety. They learnt about the 7 greatest motivators for impulsive behaviour in their age group (peer group pressures, FOMO, strong emotions, being late, mobile phone distraction when walking, the route we travel and impairing senses with headphones) and techniques for helping with this in order to stay safe
