Mrs Jordan wasn’t as active as Mrs Williams on her summer break but she did see some beautiful churches In Mallorca. Esglesia de Sant Bartomeu in Soller, Esglesia de Sant Bartomeu in Valldemosa and Catedral - Basilica de Santa Maria in Palma. We’re looking forward to seeing more religious buildings that our school community have visited this summer.

Another family spotted a Greek church 🇬🇷

We’ve loved to see some of your pilgrimages. This family visited Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Laon in France on August 15th which was also the Feast of The Assumption. They bought special candles and visited a dedicated altar for Mary and her special day. There were lots of special rooms and Altars in the cathedral and big brother enjoyed telling his younger brother about many of the Saints he recognised, he also taught him how to say hello and goodbye to Jesus when they arrived and left.

It’s been a day of laughter, tears and lots of fun as we’ve said goodbye to our Year Six class. This morning’s whole school mass was a beautiful celebration and then our leaver’s assembly was just perfect in every way (thank you Mrs Anderson and Mrs Duffy). To our wonderful Year 6 and their families, goodbye, good luck and don’t be a stranger. To the rest of the school, we’ll see you all on Wednesday 3rd September 💛 💙

Year 6 are making Lego robots and programming them to move around the classroom using their coding skills

Last week the whole school made a jubilee CAFOD pledge. Each class considered something slightly different, they all chose a theme which meant something to them. This morning Year 3 were out collecting litter from our school field, showing how they truly understand the meaning of taking care of our planet

Well done to our KS2 children who performed at Coventry Cathedral tonight. Despite the busy morning at sports day and 30 degree heat they sang their hearts out and were super St Augustine’s ambassadors throughout both the rehearsal and evening performance. 💛 🩵
