Don’t forget tomorrow is break the rules day. Cash donations for our PTFA in exchange for the chance to break the rules. Children might want to wear crazy hair, bring squash in their bottle or a treat instead of a fruit snack! What a fabulous way to end the half term

Parent’s evening 1 of 2 done. There was a tangible buzz around school tonight as we celebrated the successes of our first half term with parents. We asked our parents for some feedback of our own, it’s safe to say the responses were lovely. 💛 💙

🌟 Our Mini Vinnies have been hard at work creating ‘Praying in Progress’ door hangers for each classroom! 🙏 This thoughtful act reflects the Catholic Social Teaching principle of Solidarity, showing respect for others’ prayer time and helping our school community support one another. 💛

Our new chess set is already being put to good use. We’ve had a queue of children keen to enjoy it in our ks2 library at break and lunch times. ♟️

Our school was incredibly fortunate to be selected by Kenilworth Castle to receive a beautifully created chess board by acclaimed contemporary artist, Lindsey Mendick. Her art installation, Wicked Game marks the 450th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth I’s 19-day visit to Kenilworth Castle. Our chess player representatives collected the chess set and will be encouraging other children to join them for chess games in our school library

Today was multi faith day in school. As tomorrow is Diwali our year 3 children created Rangoli patterns out of items they could find in the playground

Mrs Williams held her first tea party for the children who have earned 50 St Augustine’s stars ✨ we even had extra biscuits to mark the first tea party of the academic year

As we start to lose the light, our Friday football club will be pausing until the new year. The children have worked so hard and have 3 games booked in for November, we will share the results with you closer to the time. Special thanks to Mr McMullan and Mr Hales for running such a popular club ⚽️

This week Reception have been thinking about talents in their RE lessons. They had a go at writing prayers of thanks to God for their talents. Some of the children then shared their prayers during our class prayer and liturgy.

Earlier this week, Year 4 attended a Wellbeing Festival. The festival gave the children the opportunity to take part in a range of sports events to promote personal challenge and develop skills such as perseverance and determination. They had the best time!
